I'd already reviewed most of the component...


onboard sound card... why can't install the driver and tools!


Display Card is a trustworthy component, if it's not working, you simply can't see the screen!


OS installed again for twice.... With different setting for N times!


Until I finally review the CPU Front side bus (FSB) and the DRAM frequency of my DDRII 533MHz RAM! (which is the foremost setting! ... if it's not setting properly, the CPU just burn out!) I never doupt the AUTO setting of DRAM frequency set by the motherboard, it should be the safest mode without overclocking the CPU.


In the old age computer, there is no auto mode or jumperless mode, you should configure the jumper on board in order to set the correct clock speed. What you have to do in the past, is to find out the reference table for those setting for the target clock speed from the motherboard manual, then set the jumper accordingly. The invention of jumperless mode make overclock easy, but make dummy a headache when problem found! Why? Because, you can never find a reference table easily in nowadays manual!!! For advanced user, you can simply try it out with your own calculation. For those dummy like me, just use the default "AUTO" mode as suggested!


Ha... and that's the problem!!! I can never think of ....

Why? it's not the best setting! a DDRII 533MHz has been overclock to 800MHz with 200 FSB!! Yes, the clook speed come up is still 3GHz. P4 630 internal clock frequency is indeed 800MHz! but my RAM is just DDRII 533MHz. It has been stepping up too much! the RAM is overheat that cause to restart! Unexpected bad default setting for this motherboard!!


setting it to 667MHz on 266 FSB and make up to 3G Clock speed correctly, seems works overnight! Cheerful news to 4th sister?


Hey, I know "using default setting" is not the golden rule for some motherboard company.... but it's ASUS, a user friendly branding, should have tested the setting thoroughly. why it's still like that .....dull!! 6_@!


I think I'm closer to success, but it's already 2:00am this morning! I still need to take further investigation though...
